HANNA CITY, Ill. (WMBD) -- Halloween is just a few weeks away and Wildlife Prairie Park will kick off a big, spooky event Friday to celebrate.

Oct. 10 is the 40th anniversary of Wildlife Scary Park, marking the start of the event that will take place during the next three weekends, said park CEO Roberta English.

The frightful fun takes place on Oct. 10-12, Oct. 17-19 and Oct. 24-26.

This year, the park is swapping the trick-or-treat trail for a carnival featuring six attractions for all ages.

Guests will be able to enjoy unlimited rides with their admission ticket.

English said Wildlife Scary Park will also bring back the Haunted Zephyr, which takes riders on a spooky journey through the forest. There will also be more fun, including a haunted house, laser tag and more.
