HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI – A man in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula was convicted this week of sexually assaulting a minor in the ‘90s.

Ward Glass, 69, of Marquette, was convicted of six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct by a Houghton County jury on Wednesday, Oct. 8, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a news release.

Ward was accused of sexually assaulting a victim multiple times between 1993 and 1996. The victim was a minor at the time, and she and Ward lived in the same Houghton County home, Nessel said.

The victim filed a complaint with Michigan State Police in 2024 after she encountered Ward for the first time in nearly three decades, according to Nessel’s office.

The attorney general’s office charged Ward last fall.
