Police in Celina say they have filed new charges against an educator already arrested for invasive visual recording.

William Caleb Elliott, 26, of McKinney, was first taken into custody on Friday. On Thursday, the Celina Police Department announced Elliott was charged with possession or promotion of child pornography.

According to police, Elliott turned himself in on Thursday. It is not known if he has obtained an attorney.

Elliott, a sixth-grade social studies teacher who also coached at Moore Middle School, Celina ISD said he was placed on indefinite administrative leave Friday.

According to the district’s website, Elliott is the son of Celina ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Bill Elliott.
