NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Lafourche Parish District Attorney’s Office released its report into the investigation of a fatal December 2024 crash, finding “several inconsistencies” with the Louisiana State Police’s (LSP) rationale for arresting LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy.

The report first gained public traction after Lacy’s attorney Matthew Ory referenced it in an interview with Houma TV station HTV last Friday.

“In my opinion, this (case) never survives a grand jury. Never, never, ever survives a grand jury,” he told HTV.

The LSP has since doubled down on its findings , releasing video of the crash and interviews with witnesses.

Troopers arrested Lacy for negligent homicide and other charges for his alleged role in the crash, which killed former Marine Herman Hall .
