ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Changes are coming to the Duke City Marathon. The City of Albuquerque is now the presenting partner for the annual race. The course will still start and end at Civic Plaza. The course will take runners down Rio Grande Boulevard and through Los Ranchos and Old Town Plaza.

There will also be more entertainment and runner encouragement along the route. "From mariachis to local DJs, our runners and walkers will enjoy an unforgettable atmosphere that makes the Duke City Marathon even more special," said Henry Varela, Marketing Director, Duke City Marathon.

This year's Duke City Marathon is set for October 19 and will feature seven races. More than 4,000 runners have already registered.
