The remnants of two tropical storms will bring widespread, and sometimes heavy rainfall across New Mexico starting Friday through early next week.
Fewer showers and storms popped up across New Mexico Thursday as high pressure develops in southeast New Mexico. This has also brought warmer weather to many areas. Storms popped up right over Albuquerque this evening, raining out and cancelling evening activities at Balloon Fiesta. Rain will stick around overnight around the Four Corners and tropical moisture begins streaming into the region. Friday morning's Mass Ascension will stay dry, but it will be cloudy and a slight breeze could keep some of the special shapes grounded while other balloons fly.
