ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has a tradition that dates back to the seventh Balloon Fiesta in 1979, the serigraph poster. These posters are generally created by local artists, and eventually, it was turned into a contest to help local artists get recognition.

The serigraph poster has been a big collector's item since it was first released, with many different options and limited series runs of the posters. The posters were originally produced by ProCreations, but in 2006, the Balloon Fiesta assumed production of the posters themselves, adding a secret roadrunner to the pictures.
