HELENA — Milo Kauffman and Miles Miller went to battle Thursday evening at Bill Roberts Golf Course. Final runners for Helena High and Missoula Hellgate, respectively, during the 2025 Capital City 7 of 7 Invitational, the highest-placed finisher in the No. 1 race also earned a team title.
Miller paced early, leading a group of Class AA state title contenders, as well as Park’s Finn Schretenthaler, around the winding greens and fairways and up and down bunkered hills.
State 5,000-meter leader Miles Halvorsen assumed control for Bozeman, ultimately capturing the Hawks’ sixth consecutive 7 of 7 race and a runner-up team finish. A 16th-place result in the No. 7 race doomed the Hawks.
Kauffman settled in behind Kalispell Glacier’s Owen Thiel, a senior who entered one second behind Halvors
