EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — Lights could be seen for miles from Rentschler Field in East Hartford Thursday as people came together to shine a light on the darkness of blood cancer.

Light the Night 2025 aimed to celebrate, honor and remember those impacted by the disease.

People like Juliana Giancola, a Hodgkin's lymphoma survivor, came to the event to celebrate several things that all happened to take place on the same day.

"It's my birthday, first of all, and second of all, it's also my last day of treatment. I got to ring the bell today, which has been so awesome. So I'm done with chemo, I'm done with radiation and I'm just so happy to be done," Giancola said.
