BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Questions and concerns remain as Gov. Jeff Landry moves forward with his plan to activate the Louisiana National Guard in several cities, including Baton Rouge.

To help residents prepare and understand what to expect, the Baton Rouge Community Street Team hosted a roundtable discussion focused on awareness, education, and knowing your rights.

Members of the grassroots group said they’ve already heard fear and hesitation from residents worried about what the National Guard’s presence could mean for their communities.

“The fear is there, but how do we alleviate the fear?” one speaker asked during the event.
