LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A familiar face will remain one of the key figures representing the athletes within the city of Louisville.

Racing Louisville and U.S. Women’s National Team forward Emma Sears has agreed to an extension that will see her stay in Derby City through the 2028 season.

This year, Racing’s star winger has set the club’s single-season scoring record with 10 goals and is tied for the third most in the NWSL.

“We are thrilled to sign Emma to a new contract,” Racing head coach Bev Yanez said. “She’s shown continued growth in her role each season and has contributed so much to this group in such a short time. We look forward to what her future looks like here in lavender!”
