SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A case of alleged abuse at an Upstate daycare is now working it’s way through the criminal justice system.
Two parents are taking matters into their own hands and are suing Maranatha Childcare following child abuse allegations.
Lawyers representing the parents weighed in on their case.
“What witnesses tells me is that what we’ve seen on the video is nothing compared to what was actually going on,” Toria Smith, a Personal Injury Attorney with KD Trial Lawyers, said.
The first suit alleges a toddler had a chunk of hair ripped out in May, but Maranatha Childcare claimed the child did this to herself.
“There was a huge clump of hair missing from her head. The explanation given to her simply did not make sense,” Wes Kissinger, a partner at KD Trial Lawyer
