WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) - November’s election will be here before you know it, and candidates in Washington are helping voters learn more about them ahead of early voting.

Washington Mayor Donald Sadler who’s been serving in his role since 2020 is the incumbent who will be challenging mayoral candidate Ellen Brabo, a veteran, public affairs professional and owner of The Ell Hotel.

Candidates spoke on their platforms Thursday night at a forum held at the Turnage Theatre, sponsored by the Washington-Beaufort County Board of Realtors.
