COLUMBUS, Ohio—Gov. Mike DeWine’s move to effectively ban intoxicating hemp products in Ohio , at least temporarily, includes some THC-infused drinks.
But not all of them.
That’s because the governor’s executive order, issued Wednesday, only blocks sales of products with THC from hemp.
It does not affect drinks with THC derived from marijuana, which are regulated differently.
There are a host of varieties on the market . But the drinks with THC derived from marijuana can only be legally sold at the state’s 170 recreational marijuana dispensaries, according to DeWine spokesman Dan Tierney.
