BOSTON —
The Boston Red Sox held their end-of-season news conference Monday after reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
“It felt like a great step forward,” team president Sam Kennedy said.
Last week, the Red Sox faced the New York Yankees in the American League Wild Card Series, winning Game 1, but losing Games 2 and 3.
Manager Alex Cora admitted it wasn't a perfect season, but he said he was proud of the team.
“As far as the overall season, for me, I had a blast,” Cora said.
Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow said that with the team's rebuild over, the focus is now on contending every year.
