SAN JOSE — Two teenage boys were arrested last week in connection with a gang-motivated attack over the summer in San Jose, police said.

The incident happened just before 6 p.m. on July 13 at a business in the 3000 block of Meridian Avenue, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Thursday.

The teens confronted three people about their gang affiliation and then “violently attacked” them, Shih said. One of the teens allegedly brandished a knife and stabbed one of the victims, while the other teen allegedly physically assaulted a second victim.

Shih said the teens left the scene before officers arrived, but detectives later identified them as a pair of 17-year-old San Jose residents. Warrants were issued for both teens.
