RATHDRUM, Idaho – Rathdrum has welcomed a new police chief following the retirement of Chief Tom McLean in June.
Former Coeur d'Alene Detective Dan Haley was sworn in last week, filling the position left open by McLean.
Haley comes to Rathdrum with valuable experience from his time at the Coeur d'Alene Police Department and as a Colorado State Patrol captain.
Rathdrum Mayor Mike Hill expressed confidence in Haley's appointment. "Haley is the right person for this responsibility," said Hill in a press release.
