There's a new chip in some local grocery stores, and it's made by one of the area's most popular restaurants.

Chick-fil-A is piloting large-size bags of two new waffle potato chip varieties in select Publix, Kroger, and Walmart stores in Georgia this month, according to a news release from the company.

There are two flavors of waffle-cut chips available, according to the news release. One is flavored like the traditional Chick-fil-A sauce with a smoky, tangy, and slightly sweet taste. The Original Flavor Waffle Potato Chips are a new take on classic, waffle-cut chips.

The following stores in Augusta should either have the new chips on shelves now or will be getting them soon:

Walmart at 260 Bobby Jones Expressway, 3209 Deans Bridge Road, and 3338 Wrightsboro Road

Kroger at 3942 Harper
