Frederick County residents listed a statewide ban of a local immigration enforcement program and increased education funding as their priorities ahead of the 2026 Maryland General Assembly session.

County Executive Jessica Fitzwater held a town hall on Wednesday to present the county’s legislative package thus far and gather public feedback on what residents want the county to advocate for.
