Maryland state Sen. Karen Lewis Young said on Thursday that she’s working on a bill to limit how law enforcement agencies in Maryland can participate in immigration enforcement.

The bill would restrict what criminal charges are required to be levied against someone before local law enforcement at jails can ask about someone’s immigration status.
