EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Eagles have lost yet another top player to injury.
Quinyon Mitchell, one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, left Thursday night’s game against the Giants with a hamstring injury and will not return.
Mitchell suffered the injury during the second quarter of Thursday’s game at MetLife Stadium. He was initially listed as questionable to return and later downgraded to out at halftime.
Mitchell spent an entire drive in the medical tent on the Eagles’ sideline. Adoree’ Jackson, the veteran offseason signee, replaced him as one of two starting outside corners.
