Skip Bayless is known for having some wild sports takes, but his take early on during the 2025 college football season has proven to be one of his worst ever.

Early in the first quarter of North Carolina’s season opener against TCU, the Tar Heels and head coach Bill Belichick took a 7-0 lead on the Horned Frogs after an impressive opening drive.

It was at that point that Bayless made a post on X that has proven to be incredibly wrong.

“Wow, Belichick has a national championship OFFENSE. Heels just shredded Frogs’ defense,“ Skip Bayless said .

North Carolina went on to get destroyed that night as TCU scored the next 41 points in the game on its way to a 48-14 victory. It was an embarrassing opening game for a North Carolina program that has had a disastrous year .
