Parking and transportation are two of the hottest issues in Harrisburg. People in the city sigh, roll their eyes and shake their heads whenever anyone mentions either topic.
But here’s the hard truth: Harrisburg won’t have any sort of downtown revival unless it tackles these issues head on.
Without solid leadership to come up with a solution to parking and transportation in Harrisburg, businesses will continue to close, people will move out, and the capital city will not see the kind of downtown revitalization we so admire in Lancaster.
The good news is everybody knows that. And everybody wants to do something about it.
Not one of the stakeholders who participated in PennLive’s roundtable on Harrisburg’s economic revitalization disputed the facts. .
