MIDDLETOWN – The start of this year’s fall semester for SUNY Orange wasn’t just exciting for students. It marked a more than six percent surge in enrollment and continued a tradition of academic success the college has now enjoyed for 11 enrollment sessions in a row.
College Provost Dr. Erika Hackman said this is only possible because of the hard work and dedication of faculty and staff.
“Eight years ago we implemented Guided Pathways, a national framework for student success as a first step in turning around enrollment declines dating back to 2012,” Hackman said at a press conference Thursday. “But more importantly we wanted to transform the SUNY Orange experience for our students. Today, I’m proud to say we’ve done exactly that.”
