Two Edinburgh men have been charged with attempted murder after a male was struck by a van.

The incident took place on Prestonfield Avenue around 9.40pm on Friday, September 26, 2025. A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two men, aged 28, have been charged in connection. At the time, the van failed to stop, and police were hoping to track them down - along with the vehicle.

The road was blocked for some time.

Detective Constable Joanne Roberston said: “Extensive enquiries were carried out to trace those involved and I would like to thank members of the public who got in touch.”

The men have appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
