The fall festival season in Door County wraps up with the longest-running, largest and perhaps most action-packed of the season’s community festivals on the Peninsula with the 79th annual Fall Fest in Sister Bay from Oct. 17-19.

Fall Fest long has been called the "Granddaddy" of Door County community festivals not only because it was the first to take place but also because of the residents and visitors who flock to it over its three days, with annual attendance of 35,000 to 40,000 residents and visitors according to the sponsoring Sister Bay Advancement Association.

Along with age and attendance, though, there also is fun and activities, and Fall Fest offers three major events that sets it apart from the pack.
