WILLIAMSBURG, Mass. (WWLP) - The Healey-Driscoll Administration celebrated the awarding of nearly $30 million in Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) grants to 54 communities and Tribes to prepare for extreme weather events.
The announcement took place at the Beaver Brook property in Williamsburg, where Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and Undersecretary of Decarbonization and Resilience Katherine Antos joined local officials to highlight the Williamsburg Flood Resilience Project. This initiative is part of a broader effort to mitigate the impacts of climate change, including flooding, heat waves, and wildfires.
