Good morning everyone! We've got a bit of a mixed bag to start our Friday here in the Rockford area, but things are looking up as we move through the week. This morning, we'll see those lingering rain showers and overcast skies, which will stick around through much of the afternoon. We're tracking a 60% chance of that rain, and temperatures will top out around 67 degrees. Winds will be coming out of the southwest, ranging from 10 to 15 miles per hour.

As we head into Saturday, we expect a significant change, with mainly sunny skies returning and temperatures climbing a bit to 69 degrees. Winds will be lighter out of the east-northeast. Sunday looks even warmer and a little more active, with partly cloudy skies and highs reaching near 73 degrees, with southeast winds picking up slightly.
