Iowa's Capitol has been regarded as one of the most beautiful capitols in the country, but not every public building in Iowa gets the same level of love.

The Robert Dekanski Team, a real estate firm with RE/MAX , conducted a survey with about 3,000 people to find out where the "ugliest" public buildings are around the country.

While Iowa didn't have any buildings in the top five ugliest buildings, three did make the list of more than 100 public structures across the country.

Pottawattamie County Courthouse

The current Pottawattamie County Courthouse ranked 24th among the ugliest public buildings. It was constructed in 1977, according to the Iowa Judicial Branch. The structure is mainly brick with tan accents around the windows.
