5 Freeway north of LA is included in a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:52 a.m. The advisory is valid from Saturday noon until Sunday Oct. 12, at 10 a.m.
“North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected,” according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA . “Isolated gusts up to 60 mph possible Saturday night across the Interstate 5 Corridor.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
