HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Since Angel's Island Coffee first opened back in 2007, it's become a hotspot in South Huntsville. But the owner's story and her love of coffee actually started thousands of miles away.
At age 16, Angel Hussain was working her first job at a cafe in Fiji. Hussain wasn't a coffee drinker back then, but it's where she learned the importance of connection and got the idea for a gathering space of her own.
"Within 5 miles of your home or your business, that is your clientele," Hussain said. "That is your family, your people. All the people that are gonna be there to help you. I got to know some of my customers in such a special way. I've seen kids grow up, get married, have babies and that is literally wild to me."
It takes a village, and according to Angel, making
