HICKMAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least 19 people are unaccounted for following an explosion that was reported Friday morning at a manufacturing plant in Hickman County, officials said.

The incident reportedly took place at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant at the Hickman/Humphreys County line.

The Hickman County Sheriff's Office took to social media shortly before 8:30 a.m. stating, "Please avoid the area to allow emergency responders to do their work."

According to the Hickman County EMA director, the explosion was reported at approximately 7:50 a.m., and the main concern at this time is secondary explosions.

Humphreys County EMA Director Odell Poyner later confirmed that at least 19 employees inside the building remain unaccounted for.
