The Brief

Two suspects were detained after allegedly pointing a laser and firing a gun multiple times toward a DPS helicopter flying over southeast Dallas just before midnight.

The DPS pilot alerted Dallas police, who located the suspects and conducted a traffic stop near Simpson Stuart Road.

Police are currently working to positively identify the individuals and determine why they were firing the weapon.
