Ricky Hatton is being laid to rest today (October 10), after it was confirmed the boxer had died last month at the age of 46.

Mourners have gathered to pay their respects to the world champion fighter in his home city of Manchester this morning, with a number of celebrities in attendance for the funeral service.

Members of the public were invited to line the streets where Hatton's funeral procession was taking place, but only a select few individuals have been permitted into Manchester Cathedral where the formal ceremony is taking place.
