There has been a huge surge in padel, the racket sport similar to tennis but on a smaller, partly enclosed court using a different type of racket, over the last year or so. ‌

A-list celebs said to enjoy the fun and sociable sport include David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Eva Longoria. Even tennis superstars Raphael Nadal, Andy Murray , and Serena Williams are said to have a passion for padel. ‌

And now, Scots can get in on the action as a massive 10-court padel club is set to take over the former Cineworld site at The Forge Retail Park. ‌

Pure Padel has lodged planning applications to transform the sprawling 40,000 sq ft space into the city's biggest indoor padel complex.
