Good morning, baseball fans!
There is only one playoff game on today’s schedule, and that would be Game 5 of the American League Division Series between the Detroit Tigers and the Seattle Mariners.
Although the series is tied at 2-2 (obviously, as that’s the only way to even get a Game 5), the Mariners have an edge as the series moves back to Seattle.
Left-hander Tarik Skubal will get the start for the Tigers, making his third start of the postseason this year. His last was in the Tigers’ 3-2 loss to the Mariners on Sunday, in which he allowed two runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and a walk in seven innings.
As of the time this is being written, Seattle has not yet announced a starting pitcher, but you can check the comments below closer to the game.
Tonight’s game starts at 5:0
