SAN JOSE — A South Bay garbage and recycling company has bought a San Jose property that consists of land and an industrial building across the street from a large apartment complex.
An entity affiliated with Republic Services has paid $10 million to buy a site at 665 North King Road in East San Jose, according to documents filed on Oct. 9 with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.

Besides the empty land, the 2.3-acre property includes an industrial building that totals 17,100 square feet. An office and showroom space totaling 4,000 square feet is part of this building.
The building’s size means most of the site is undeveloped.
The seller is a real estate firm based in a Chicago suburb.
