The Peacemaker season 2 finale was different from what many DC fans expected, going for emotional payoff rather than shocking action, though there were still plenty of twists along the way. Peacemaker episode 7 saw John Cena's hero turn himself in to ARGUS, leading to the finale exploring his time in jail and the organization's adventure into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and its many doors.

Peacemaker season 2's ending sets up what could be the overarching storyline of the DCU Chapter One with a key location. With more Superman character cameos in Peacemaker season 2 , the path is also laid for the hero's movie sequel, Man of Tomorrow , which opens in theaters on July 9, 2027. A major DC Comics team has also just been introduced to the DCU.
