Shubman Gill finally won his first toss as India Test skipper on his 7th try in the 2nd Test against West Indies in New Delhi on Friday. In the last 6 matches, starting from the England tour to the 1st Test vs West Indies, Gill didn’t have the best of lucks in coin tosses, losing all of them. That streak finally came to an end on Friday and the captain and his team shared some banter about it after the toss.
As Gill walked back towards his team, he was greeted by Axar Patel and coach Gautam Gambhir and had a hearty laugh about finally winning a toss. “Well done Gill,” some one shouted while Gambhir laughed and said,”Jassi (Bumrah) had already marked his run up,” to which Bumrah said, “Me and Miyan (Siraj), both” as the banter continued, as shared by a video by BCCI
