A woman accused of embezzling from the Troy bank branch where she worked has been charged, state officials said.
Rhodesia Jones, 25, was arraigned in 52-4 District Court in Troy, the Michigan Attorney General's Office said.
The Detroit resident is charged with a count of embezzling from a financial institution, a 20-year felony, and two counts of failing to file a tax return, a five-year felony.
A judge set Jones' bond at $50,000 and scheduled her next court hearing for Thursday, according to authorities.
Court records did not list an attorney for the defendant on Friday.
Prosecutors said Jones was a teller at a PNC Bank branch in Troy between June 2023 and May 2024. They allege that during that time, she withdrew about $80,000 from customer accounts without authorization.
