Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, today slammed the opposition for trying to politicise the circumstances surrounding the untimely demise of Assam’s beloved son and legendary singer Zubeen Garg, who died in Singapore on September 19.

Describing the move as “totally unethical and unfortunate,” the Union Minister said the opposition has stooped to such a level because it has lost its ground and has no real issues left to raise.

He also said the Congress in the state is trying to politicise the issue merely to score a few brownie points.
