HINSDALE, N.H. (WCAX) - A hiker died Thursday after suffering a sudden medical emergency while hiking in Pisgah State Park in Hinsdale, New Hampshire.

New Hampshire Fish and Game says the hiker collapsed around noon while hiking back to the trailhead on the Kilburn Trail.

They say a hiking companion immediately conducted life-saving measures, and that first responders continued those efforts when they arrived.

The identity of the hiker is being withheld pending the notification of family members.
