Sam's Club is expanding hours beginning this weekend.

Starting Sunday, Oct. 12, the chain will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, Steven Zapata, director of corporate communications at Sam's Club, confirmed to USA TODAY via email on Oct. 9.

The move is due to "overwhelming feedback" from members, Zapata told USA TODAY.

Hours previously were from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Zapata also told USA TODAY that Sam's Club is making some adjustments to its holiday hours. While warehouses previously closed at 6 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and New Year's Eve, they will now remain open until 8 p.m. local time on those holidays.

Clubs will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will remain closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, USA TODAY r
