Some of us may have woken up to thunderstorms and periods of heavy rain passing over central and southern Iowa last night. The heaviest rain fell south if I-80.

The metro saw around and less than a quarter of an inch. Some areas were able to gather close to an inch, but no reports of anything greater than that as of this morning.
