The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders couldn’t ask for better scenarios.
Both CFL teams can lock up first place in their respective divisions by winning home games this week. If they succeed, the Ticats and Roughriders won’t play another game that matters until they host division finals on Nov. 8.
The Roughriders have the easier task — on paper, at least — as they entertain the eliminated Toronto Argonauts to kick off the third-last week of the regular season on Friday night.
The Argos will start Jarret Doege at quarterback with Nick Arbuckle out for the season with a shoulder injury). Defensive leader and linebacker Wynton McManis (groin) also is out.
“I think you step back and look at the big picture once in a while and say ‘you win one game, you get this,’” Roughrider
