The Huntington Beach Police Department is continuing its investigation Friday of a collision where a pedestrian and a man who was riding a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle were killed.

Officers from the police department responded at 8:27 p.m. on Thursday to the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue where they found the driver of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old man from Los Angeles and the pedestrian, a 46-year-old man from Huntington Beach, unconscious in the roadway, said Corbin Carson, a Huntington Beach spokesman.

According to a preliminary investigation, the Harley-Davidson was traveling southbound on Beach, while the pedestrian was crossing Beach outside of a crosswalk when the collision occurred, police said.
