A motorcyclist and a pedestrian died in a collision in Huntington Beach Thursday evening, police said.
Officers responded to a call regarding a collision between a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider and a pedestrian around 8:27 p.m. near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found both the motorcyclist, identified only as a 45-year-old man from Los Angeles, and the pedestrian, a 46-year-old man from Huntington Beach, lying unconscious on the road. Paramedics arrived to render medical aid but ultimately pronounced both men dead at the scene.
The Huntington Beach Police Department said that it was unknown whether impairment was a factor for either the motorcyclist or the pedestrian.
