LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A teacher at duPont Manual’s Youth Performing Arts School was arrested Thursday and charged with distributing and possessing child pornography, the US Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, confirmed Friday morning.

According to the federal criminal complaint, 51-year-old Brian Hinds distributed child sexual abuse material depicting prepubescent boys to an undercover law enforcement officer in August. Hinds admitted to both sending and receiving such material through online messaging apps during an interview conducted on Oct. 9, 2025.

Hinds is a theater teacher at YPAS, but authorities have not yet identified any victim that is a current or former student of duPont Manual High School. In a release, the US Attorney’s Office said if any such victims are i
