A crisis fundraiser after last week’s horrific attack at a Manchester synagogue has reached £50,000 in donations.
In just nine days, as of writing on October 10, the campaign has just topped £50,000.
The fundraiser says the money will go to supporting those injured in the attack, and the families of those who died; the Jewish community as a whole ‘through counselling, support groups, and recovery initiatives’; and the shul building at the centre of the attack ‘repairing the damage and making vital upgrades to ensure safety and strength for the future’.
On the morning of October 2, Syrian-born Brit Jihad Al-Shamie carried out the terror attack on Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall, by driving his vehicle at Jewish worshippers before attacking them with knives.
