Hours after Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado was awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, Russian President Vladimir Putin weighed in on the decision, acknowledging US President Donald Trump’s efforts toward peace.

Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) reacted to the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize decision, praising US President Donald Trump despite the award going to Venezuela’s Maria Corina Machado.

Reacting to the prize announcement, Putin told Reuters that Trump "does a lot for peace."

Speaking on Friday, Putin criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee, stating, "The Nobel Peace Prize has been repeatedly awarded to people who’ve done nothing for peace," as reported by Sputnik India.
